We have just learned that our next project has been recommended for funding from the National Centre for Research and Development. We are waiting for further information, because we are planning to use the grant to finance work on the full concept of the X-ray quality control system for food products (aluminium cans, sachets, trays).
The main goal of the project is to design a product innovation in the form of the X-ray system for quality control of food products. The new project results will include:
- ODevelopment of image processing algorithms based on neural networks and machine learning methods,
- The measuring system that automatically adjusts its settings when changing the format.
The developed system enables a high level of detection of foreign bodies in products with complex geometry and inhomogeneous X-ray absorption, such as instant food (mix of dried products), mixed vegetables, fast cook meals in jars, and it will have functional features that enable automatic adaptation to new or significantly different products on the production line.
