Machine learning allows us to fully eliminate manual inspection of pharmaceutical products, which can be expensive, has poor repeatability and is often inaccurate (e.g. manual quality control of capsules).

 

The quality control systems that we design and deliver to the pharmaceutical industry, are modern visual applications based on the so-called deep neural networks that significantly increase the precision and reliability of automated production control. They are our answer to the rising expectations of the pharmaceutical industry, e.g. the requirements to achieve data integrity in the GMP process – our systems use audit trail functionality.

KSM VISION PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE VISUAL CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY:

  • inspection of caps on bottles/vials. Our application detects closure defects such as: poor tightening, cross threading, cracks, dirty finish or a broken tamper-evident band, etc.
    What is a great advantage of the system is the possibility of imaging the bottom surface of vial caps that are used in the production of antibiotics or vaccines (high-margin products), among others.
  • In addition, our portfolio includes a quality control system for medication in blister packs, which finds defects such as:
    • tablet size,
    • missing tablets,
    • shape defects, cracks,
    • differences in colour,
    • debris, dirty finish of the blister pack.

We have successfully implemented our systems in drug manufacturing facilities at Medicofarma and Polfa Tarchomin, among others.
